I did these awhile back and never posted about them (I have sooooo many photos to go through. I know, I’m lazy)

The first gradient is OPI Bogota Blackberry and Essie Licorice. Burgundy polishes are one of those colors that are a dime a dozen, but Bogota Blackberry is definitely worth buying! It’s got a gorgeous deep shimmer, and is a deep, red-tone as opposed to purply red.

Red base burgundys/purples are usually better for people with orangy/yellow skin tones (me). It’s crazy how different a simple tinge can make a polish look, but finding a polish that compliments your skin tone can make a huge difference it how your hands look. Think of it as eyeshadow for your nails lol

I started this next gradient with Essie’s “Licorice” and “Sexy Divide” but I didn’t find the purple was quite purply enough, so I layered OPI’s “Servin Up Sparkle” over it from their Serena Williams set.

I love these vampy type gradients- definitely a way to kick up the stereotypical “black nails” for halloween.

I know it’s simple, especially in comparison to all the fancy pants nail art decor & stamping, but I love a simple gradient. They’re great for short/small nails that can’t really fit intense nail art.
So, what are your halloween nail plans?
